KWA ATP AUTO Has Arrived!

The long awaited KWA ATP Auto has finally arrived and is now available for purchase at Airsoft Station!  The ATP auto is the new version of the incredibly popular KWA ATP.  The ATP auto has all of the same features as the standard ATP (Adaptive Training Pistol), but it also has a full auto function!

This pistol is powered by green gas which is housed in the magazine.  The included magazine holds 23 rounds and the gun is also compatible with extended 48 round FPG magazines.  The gas powers the shooting action as well as the blowback action of the pistol.  Blowback means that the slide shoots back with each shot, simulating the recoil and function of a real firearm.  KWA has done a great job with this pistol, the trigger response is excellent and the blowback is crisp and powerful.

The ATP is great as a training tool or skirmishing weapon.  Many law enforcement agencies are using this airsoft pistol because it closely resembles their duty pistols, and is a cost effective way to train in realistic situations.  It also makes a great sidearm for airsoft players.  It's a reliable, high quality pistol that can be counted on when entering buildings or as a last resort when an AEG goes down.

Airsoft Batteries - Proper Care

When purchasing an AEG it is crucial to know how to properly charge your battery because without power your AEG won't do you much good on the field.  Giving your battery a full charge will give you the best performance and allow you to play longer before having to recharge the battery again.  However, overcharging the battery can damage or even ruin the battery completely.  This is why it is important to know how long to charge the battery for.

Many AEGs include a NiCd or NiMH battery and a standard wall charger.  The battery has two properties; the mAh rating and the output voltage.  The mAh rating is the total amount of charge a battery can hold.  A higher number means that it can be used longer before running out of juice.  The voltage of the battery is how much power the battery can put out.  A higher number will provide more power, giving the AEG a higher rate of fire.

To determine the charging time, divide the mAh rating of the battery by the mAh output of the charger.  The quotient will be the number of hours to charge the battery for.  For example, a 1200 mAh battery should be charged for 4.8 hours using a 250 mAh output charger.  Keep in mind that this is for a battery that does not have any charge to start with.  You should always fully drain your battery before putting it back in the charger to ensure that you do not overcharge it.

If this seems like a lot of work don't worry, there is an easier way.  You can use a smart charger to charge your batteries faster and avoid having to keep track of the charging time.  The smart charger automatically shuts off when the battery has a full charge.  If you want to get the most value out of your batteries, we highly recommend that you get a smart charger.
